Kasam Family is a privately owned company that operates on behalf of the Social Services with placed children and their parents and/or foster parents. Kasam Family consists of the operations Kasam BUF, Stora-och Lilla Björn, Home with Family (open care) and Kasam BUP. Our theoretical foundation is based on system and attachment theory, and the salutogenic perspective characterizes our work. Our existing operations are located in Skåne, Småland, and Blekinge.
Investigation Home “Stora Björn”
The investigation home “Stora Björn” works with investigation services on behalf of the social services and receives children aged 0-16 years with parents for investigation placement. The operation has high quality requirements and has a customer index for 2024/2025 of 9.1 out of 10 possible.
Stora Björn is located in Fågelmara outside Karlskrona on a farm with stables and two larger residential houses. In addition, there are annexes and a horse pasture. A few kilometers away, there is a bathing beach and a scenic environment.
Stora Björn is an investigation organization that works with clear frameworks, analysis of framework breaches, processes, and evidence-based methods. Within treatment processes, a qualitative investigation basis is created, as the environment in the operation is home-like and familial.
The focus of the operation is qualified investigation work according to BBIC with specialist competence. Stora Björn has few places in the operation and works with milieu therapy, structured family treatment, TBA, psychoeducation, SEXIT, Signs of Safety, and structured skills training.
The investigation team consists of a manager, specialist social worker, child psychiatrist, psychologist, preschool teacher, family therapist, parent coach, and specialist social worker.
Stora-och Lilla Björn has expanded its places and is therefore looking for a team leader who can complement the existing team.

More about Kasam Investigation
Our guiding principles are innovation, self-leadership, and courage.
- Innovation involves changes in a business model and/or new perspectives. Innovation arises when we think from the needs of the operation, which is often “outside the box,” rather than how we usually do things. With the help of advice, understanding of the market, and the willingness to develop, we can develop products based on the child's needs, which also indirectly drives the needs of the operation.
- Self-leadership means directing one's thoughts and behaviors towards goals (Bryant & Kazan 2012). Self-leadership involves an understanding of the current situation, the desired situation, and what you can do to get there. Understanding what you need to do (responsiveness and competence), prioritizing the order in which it should be done (prioritization work), and ensuring that you have good conditions to do it (responsibility). Self-leadership creates more employees than managers, and in this way, employees have less direction.
Employees are increasingly expected to plan their work and time without input from their managers. Employees are expected to see what needs to be done and make their own decisions. There will be less management and a greater need for leadership. Managers must adhere to and communicate “the big picture/values,” while employees must take greater responsibility for actually leading themselves.
Self-leadership places entirely different demands on organizational governance. How power and responsibility are distributed, how assignments and purposes of the operation are communicated, etc. Therefore, Kasam Investigation's second guiding quote is:
“If you cannot lead yourself, no one else can do it either.”
- Courage means that we are brave enough to demand from our surroundings (colleagues, clients, families/foster homes, external contacts, partners) in order to create conditions to meet the child's needs. We are brave enough to take responsibility for what is difficult and brave enough to ask for help when needed. For us, courage is colleagues who take initiative and act on their own.
