It is something special to work as an economist at Jämshög Folk High School. You work with the overall economic planning, management, and follow-up. You are responsible for and continuously work with ongoing economic tasks. You also have a central role within the school's service functions, and you work closely with the school management to support and facilitate the daily operations of the school. Together with other knowledgeable colleagues, you are a resource for achieving the folk high school's operational goals and participate in development work. Therefore, you will have great opportunities for broad learning.

Tasks include ongoing accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, VAT reporting, employer declaration, annual financial statements, preparation of annual reports, income tax returns, property tax assessment/declaration, budgeting, reconciliations and follow-ups, liquidity planning, cash flow management, investments, payroll management, some personnel management, and being familiar with applicable collective agreements. Additionally, ensuring the folk high school's routines for finance and accounting, internal control and analysis work, driving budget and forecasting work, developing system support, and driving improvement work within finance and accounting.

A six-month probationary period applies.

Your skills and experience:

We are looking for someone with experience in finance, administration, and personnel. You have an education in finance and administration and experience with systems such as Excel, Visma Admin, Visma Payroll, and Microsoft 365.

Since the work is varied, you need to be flexible and not afraid to jump in where needed. You are a social person who enjoys networking and finds it easy to make the necessary contacts. Your curiosity drives your work forward, and you strive for development. You are self-sufficient, take responsibility for your tasks, and are pedagogical in your consultative role. You find it easy to structure your work and have the ability to prioritize. Creativity and engagement are important, and you are not afraid to take on new challenges. You enjoy collaborating with others, and you are clear and communicative.

ABOUT JÄMSHÖG FOLK HIGH SCHOOL

Jämshög Folk High School was founded in 1961 and is a relatively young school among the 155 folk high schools in Sweden. The school offers a wide range of courses, with general courses and social pedagogy education forming the base. Our daytime courses in various subject areas are highly appreciated, as are our creative courses in music and theater. We conduct extensive external activities in collaboration with other community actors. The folk high school organizes SFI education, establishment courses for newcomers, and vocational training in several locations. With our mix of course participants aged from 18 to 80+, we are a dynamic workplace. The school's restaurant and all teaching facilities are located in the same building, which facilitates many folk education meetings.
