About the unit

The Infrastructure Department belongs to the Naval Base's Garrison Unit, which supports the naval base commander with expertise and implementation in areas concerning the development and coordination of infrastructure. The department is part of the Garrison Unit, which gathers much of the support provided to the garrison's units. The unit is in an expansive phase and is an important prerequisite for the garrison's growth, where the area of infrastructure is a vital part.

Main responsibilities

The position involves working in project form, in temporarily assembled workgroups as well as individually. As an infrastructure officer, you will have a coordinating role in various types of workgroups and projects, both internally and externally. The tasks include:

• Supporting the operations with specialist competence in the infrastructure function
• Participating in the planning and development of the garrison's infrastructure
• Handling infrastructure matters regarding procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Participating in inspections and controls as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education in construction, civil engineering, or property management, or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills (Office package)
• Driver's license B

Personal qualities

As an infrastructure officer, you enjoy working in a group, can represent functions, and have good collaboration skills. You like to take responsibility, can plan and drive tasks forward. You are used to working at a varied pace and can prioritize your work according to the situation. You feel secure in your role and can communicate and collaborate with both large and small groups with different levels of knowledge in the subject area. You are service-oriented and flexible towards both internal and external stakeholders. You are meticulous, security-conscious, and have high integrity. Having good physical ability and being able to adhere to the Armed Forces' physical standards is fundamental to our operations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

• Experience working with infrastructure within the Armed Forces
• Fortification technical competence
• Familiarity with property law and environmental legislation
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in English
