The Controller Department within Region Blekinge consists of 20 employees and is part of the finance area.

The finance area has overall responsibility for processes related to planning, budgeting, follow-up, accounting, purchasing, and classification. We are now looking for someone who wants to join our controller team. You can be sure that your qualified work will make a difference within our socially important organization. The Job

In the role of controller, you will work closely with responsible managers and be part of the management teams of the operations. You will also be involved in forward-looking change efforts, which means you will participate in the development of operations. The position also involves other varied tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, closing accounts, follow-up and analysis, reporting, and financial calculations. Within our own department, you will be a co-creator in our ongoing improvement efforts. In addition, you will work closely with other colleagues and employees within the finance area.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a state of readiness. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in finance or a background that the employer deems equivalent. You have work experience from a relevant controller position or experience that the employer considers equivalent.

You are goal- and results-oriented and consider the best interests of the whole with a quality-conscious mindset. The ability to perform your work independently and being self-driven are as natural to you as possessing collaboration skills and problem-solving analytical abilities. Furthermore, you are proactive, service-oriented, and flexible, adapting the way you convey your message based on the recipient's circumstances.

Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is finance. Here are the organization’s combined resources for finance, accounting, and analysis. The area also includes the classification unit, business department, and procurement department for healthcare and dental care. The mission of the finance area is to lead, develop, and support the organization’s work in purchasing, finance, and analysis. The area has overall responsibility for processes related to planning, budgeting, follow-up, accounting, purchasing, and classification. The area is also responsible for continuous development and implementation of common methodologies, models, and working methods within finance and purchasing.
