As a hardware engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring that products delivered to customers use the latest and most reliable hardware. You will lead the work to find and implement new alternatives for products approaching the end of their lifecycle (EoS/EoL). This means that you will carefully monitor expiration dates, evaluate possible replacements, and prepare these for internal assessment and approval from the company's customers.

Your tasks also include:

• Establishing and maintaining technical documentation such as device descriptions
• Engaging in dialogue with suppliers related to the lifecycle
• Working proactively to anticipate future needs and ensuring that the right products are in stock before there is a demand for them
• Managing product inventory and ensuring availability for delivery and, where applicable, ensuring replacement options

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Experience in a role as a hardware engineer with similar responsibilities.
• A technical academic background.
• A solid understanding of COTS hardware (Commercial Off-The-Shelf).
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English

The role requires that you are structured and have good social skills to seek answers and thus drive your work forward. You are good at problem-solving and enjoy handling complex situations and developing effective solutions.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. This may also impose citizenship requirements.
