About the position

In the role of engineer, you will participate in the technical system work of defining the integration of the Swedish Armed Forces' command systems into various types of platforms such as vehicles, boats, containers, tents, and boxes/bags. You will make trade-offs between the specific wishes and requirements of different technical areas to optimize the various integration solutions.

You will work on formulating technical requirements during procurement, verifying requirements and system solutions; developing system specifications for system design and other specification work such as interfaces between different technical systems. The tasks mainly involve office work but also practical work in workshops, meetings with industry, and representatives from the Armed Forces. You may also lead teams with consultants in your work.

You will have close collaboration with colleagues in Enköping, which means traveling there about once a week. The position is based in Stockholm, and there may also be international travel. There is an opportunity for remote work.

About you

We are looking for someone with a degree in civil or engineering, technical officer, or other relevant education or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent.

To succeed in this role, you have a couple of years of relevant experience working in project form. Since there is a lot of contact with the Armed Forces and industry, it is essential that you have a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have experience in any of the following areas: work with mechanical or electrical design, work in the automotive industry, or experience with technical documentation. We also see it as positive if you have experience in any of the areas of systems engineering, integrated logistics support, configuration management, or systems safety. A B driver's license is desirable but not required.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills. You are also self-driven, proactive, structured, and plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and clearly. Furthermore, we believe that you have the ability to create a holistic view and understanding of the broader perspective in issues. The operational area of Command System Material is responsible for developing, procuring, and further developing materials and services within the command system area for the Armed Forces, such as mobile communication systems, defense telecommunications networks, and operational and tactical information systems.

In the Mark C3 Integration unit, we are responsible for mobile command posts and for analyzing and integrating command components and command systems into all different types of platforms of the Armed Forces, such as vehicles, boats, containers, tents, and boxes/bags, with minimal impact on surrounding systems. The unit currently consists of seven people, and the working method is characterized by close cooperation, a coaching leadership style, and continuous dialogue with the manager, both regarding work and development opportunities.
