Vehicle Technician with a focus on depot technology

Your upcoming role
As a Vehicle Technician with a focus on depot technology, you will play an important part in contributing to the vehicle deployment and the preventive and corrective maintenance of commuter train vehicles. In this role, you will lead and conduct vehicle and component technical investigations, while also being the link to Maintenance Production. You will be part of the Technical Team and together with your colleagues, have a key role in creating a well-functioning vehicle fleet.
As a vehicle technician, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting maintenance production in technical matters.
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance optimization to ensure that maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
- Participating in risk assessments and risk analyses.
- Developing the operation by participating in and independently driving improvement projects
- Following up and providing feedback on deviations caused by performed maintenance.
- Working with process and routine descriptions for the depot as well as safety and documentation matters.
- Conducting targeted inspections and participating in safety rounds
In this role, you will be based at our depot in Bro, but work in our other depots in Älvsjö and Södertälje may occur. The employment is full-time and is scheduled during daytime, but there may also be work during other times when you support Maintenance Production that operates around the clock.
Expectations of the candidate
To thrive in the role of Vehicle Technician with a focus on depot technology, it is important that you possess extensive technical knowledge and a strong interest in commuter train maintenance or other rail vehicle maintenance. As a person, you are curious and have good communication skills in both speech and writing. You work in a structured manner, are analytical, and have a flexible and proactive approach to your tasks.
Requirements for the role:
- At least a high school education with a technical focus
- At least three years of experience from a similar operation with maintenance of railway vehicles
Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have:
- University education in electrical engineering or mechanics
- Knowledge of Maximo and vehicle diagnostic systems
- Knowledge of investigation methodology
- Experience with X60 commuter train vehicles or previous experience in maintenance
