The role of a developer with us

In this role, you are the hub between idea and reality. You work closely with our five unit managers and the operations manager to drive change and development – and you are the one who ensures that it actually happens.

You are our future fixer, the one who questions old truths and finds smarter ways to do things. Can we solve certain tasks in a completely new way? Are there untapped collaborations with the non-profit sector? How do we free up time and resources by rethinking – and thinking bigger? This is where you step in and build bridges between the present and the future, both strategically and hands-on.

Monitoring the external environment is a big part of the job. We call it “glo och sno” – picking up brilliant ideas from others, adapting them, and making them even better with us. You also keep a close eye on funding opportunities. EU grants, government investments, support for innovative solutions – you ensure that we don’t miss a single chance to grow. From combating invasive species to new ways of managing our streets and beaches – you drive applications, follow up, and maximize benefits.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is used to handling multiple parallel processes and quickly switching between strategic thinking and operational tasks. You have good communication skills and can adapt your message to the target audience to create engagement and anchor changes. Your analytical and structured approach helps you prioritize the right efforts, and you have a natural curiosity that drives innovation and development.

Generative AI is a natural tool in your work, and you see technology as an opportunity to streamline and improve operations. Since some tasks are conducted in English, good knowledge of both Swedish and English is required, corresponding to level C1.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

a university or college degree or equivalent work experience as assessed by the employer.
at least five years of work experience
knowledge of English at level C1

It is an advantage if you have:

experience as a presenter of various issues
experience from the non-profit sector
experience in applying for national grants
experience in applying for international grants

Your manager in Technology will be Emir Halalkic.

You will work within the Traffic & Outdoor Environment operations

Our responsibility is the general municipal outdoor environment in Kungsbacka municipality. We work from planning phases to operation and maintenance. From participating in detailed planning work, structuring how we should reinvest and take care of existing facilities, through land leases, parking supervision, to the operation of beaches, streets, parks, bridges, sports facilities, roads, and more.
