About the Job

The position primarily involves standard tasks such as medical record writing, reception work, and working in a team with healthcare staff. As a medical secretary in the emergency department, you will work with all clinics in the hospital. You are also expected to contribute to the department's development efforts where we focus on continuous improvements and have LEAN as our operational strategy.

Working in the emergency department provides you with variety in your work life as no two days are the same, which means it never becomes monotonous. As an employee at the Emergency Clinic, you have the opportunity to propose your own schedule, meaning you have significant influence over your own working hours. We also apply flexible working hours.

Working hours: 38.25 hours/week. The job includes day, evening, and weekend shifts, and there is a possibility for remote work in a limited capacity when the operations allow.

Medical secretaries at the Emergency Clinic who work day/evening and weekend shifts receive a salary supplement of 1000 SEK in addition to the individual salary setting.

About the Workplace

At the emergency department in Halmstad, 120 dedicated employees provide high-quality and professional care. We work with what we value most: contributing to ensuring our patients have the best possible conditions and care that always meets our patients' needs. We have approximately 39,000 visits per year, which places high demands on our processes, and we continuously work to develop these.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training in healthcare documentation and knowledge of outpatient coding. If you have further knowledge of the Cosmic medical record system, we see it as an advantage. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form is a requirement. Good knowledge of English and additional languages is advantageous as the emergency department sees patients from many different countries, and the secretary is the first point of contact in the hospital environment. We prefer candidates with experience as a medical secretary, but this is not a requirement.

We are looking for someone with a pronounced sense of service, who is flexible and has a good ability to prioritize tasks. You are meticulous and take great responsibility for your tasks. Since we work in teams, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, but you can also work independently and find solutions in everyday situations. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
