You will belong to the controller unit in the municipality's central finance department, which consists of 15 dedicated and knowledgeable employees. The department is part of the municipal executive administration and is divided into two units: the accounting unit and the controller unit. We are now looking for a committed and analytical management economist for assignments within the Culture, Leisure, and Technology Administration (KFT). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a management economist for the Culture, Leisure, and Technology Administration, you will have a holistic perspective on financial issues. Your tasks include, in close collaboration with the head of administration and other key personnel, leading the financial work within budgeting, planning, follow-up, forecasts, and year-end accounts. You support and collaborate with the administration's managers and other employees, providing support and being a resource in finance-related matters. Communication with politics, management group, managers, and employees is an important part of the job.

The position also includes working closely with HR and quality functions to optimize governance towards the municipality's goals and vision. We offer a key role in the economic development work with great opportunities for personal development through self-learning and varied tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics from a university or other relevant education that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as several years of experience in financial work.

It is advantageous if you have worked in a larger organization, preferably within the public sector, with overall responsibility for finance. You are used to collaborating and supporting managers in their work with year-end accounts, budgets, forecasts, and follow-ups. You have experience and the ability to use Excel effectively to analyze and present financial data.

Since the work is based on contacts and collaboration within the organization, it is important that you can create good relationships, be flexible, and prioritize your tasks based on the best interests of the whole. You should have a solution-oriented approach, good pedagogical ability, and see opportunities in every assignment.

You will sometimes be responsible for or participate in development work, which requires you to be structured, responsible, and able to drive the work forward. Good analytical ability is central. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
