We are looking for a skilled Customs & Trade Specialist who will play a central role in analyzing and developing strategies to optimize import processes and ensure compliance with EU regulations. You will focus on origin benefits, duty exemptions, and EU content rules for both existing and future products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as supply chain, purchasing, R&D, and sales, while also working closely with both customers and suppliers to manage customs and trade-related issues. You will also contribute to strengthening the organization’s expertise in the area.

Your Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop strategies to optimize the import of goods from outside the EU, focusing on origin benefits and duty exemptions.
• Ensure that products meet EU content requirements to maintain preferential status.
• Maximize the benefits of free trade agreements (FTAs) to optimize savings.
• Create close collaborations with customers and suppliers regarding customs and origin issues.
• Strengthen the organization’s expertise in customs and trade through consulting and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct training for various departments on customs and trade regulations.
• Provide qualified advice on customs and trade regulatory issues.

Qualifications:

• You have documented experience and knowledge of import and trade regulations in Sweden and the EU.
• You have a deep understanding of free trade agreements (FTAs) and the regulations surrounding origin benefits.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Preferred: Experience from the automotive industry.

To succeed in this role, you have strong analytical skills and are accustomed to handling large amounts of information and data in a structured manner. You are skilled at building and maintaining relationships within the organization, naturally creating a strong network. Additionally, you have excellent communication and collaboration skills, making you a key player in cross-functional teams and in dialogue with both internal and external parties.

Start Date and Application:

Full-time, 40h/week. Our client wishes to start in April, and the assignment is expected to run until 2025-12-31 with a chance of extension. You will be employed by JobBusters as a consultant for our exciting client in Gothenburg, with the possibility of hybrid work approximately 50% of the time.
