Test Developer at Sigma Connectivity

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of test developer, you will work closely with hardware testing fixtures. You will monitor and measure hardware, perform programming, and analyze functionality. The role suits you who thrive with broad contact surfaces and are curious - wanting to understand and driven to seek the information needed.

You will closely collaborate with your team responsible for building production test solutions, which includes both hardware and software. This involves working with test methods, connecting instruments for measurements, configuring the testing station, and building test fixtures with their connections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

You will work broadly with test development in various phases of projects to ensure the test equipment functions. Common tasks include:

  • Managing dialogues with the team working with hardware, addressing any issues
  • Working with test fixtures
  • Programming, including in Visual Studio and .Net
  • Troubleshooting
  • Dialogues with factories and other internal departments

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has an engineering degree as a bachelor or master. We prefer that you have studied mechatronics, electronics, mechanics, or similar
  • You may also have experience in electronics, mechanics, or similar and contribute that knowledge
  • Has good knowledge of electronics
  • Can program, at least at a basic level, in C#, .Net, or Visual Studio, and has an understanding of embedded development
  • Has good knowledge of English, which is the corporate language
  • Is able to travel for work to various factories

Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have good CAD skills. It is also beneficial if you have previously worked with test fixtures and have experience in test systems or issue management systems.
