Detail Preparator - Surface Treatment

Your Role

In your role as a detail preparator in the field of surface treatment, you will work on both new construction and modernization projects for submarines and surface vessels. You will be part of the collaboration between design/technical preparation and production during the development and integration of new technical solutions.

As a Detail Preparatory, you create work orders based on a completed production basis and plan for an efficient production implementation in the production facility's equipment and processes. The finished preparation is handed over to production, and when it is time to start manufacturing, you will support the startup of the work. Your daily work involves several cross-functional interfaces and often includes continuous check-ins with production personnel, as well as dialogue with Technical Preparators, Production Technicians, and in some cases, Designers.

Your Profile

As a person, you are curious and relationship-building, with a drive to find solutions that optimize production work. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and who understands the importance of interacting and working cross-functionally to find the best answers to complex problems.

The following are considered requirements:

• Experience/education in industrial surface and corrosion protection treatment or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to interpret and read drawings/bases and requirements correctly.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong technical interest and a curious approach.

The following experiences are considered advantageous:

• Marine industry, process, or manufacturing industry in the field of surface treatment.
• Large-scale, complex development projects and operations.
• Design and development of production bases.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
