Job Description:

Predire Test Center needs reinforcement and is now looking for a Test Engineer / Test Technician based in Olofström.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include all process steps from start to finish, including understanding test requests from clients, preparing quotes, sample preparation, conducting tests, summarizing results, and writing test reports. You need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Typical tasks:

Metallography analyses

Hardness analyses

Tensile tests

Calibration of ovens internally and at customer sites

Particle analyses

Chemistry & Oil analyses

Fogging & Formaldehyde analyses

Fire tests

Your Background and Personality

Any relevant education or equivalent good knowledge/experience in metallography/chemistry/testing is considered an asset.

To thrive in this role, you need to have a practical, creative, and analytical personality. You know how to work efficiently but never compromise on quality. Furthermore, you understand and work towards our set goals while enjoying and welcoming the challenges you face in your work.

Sample preparation is a significant part of the job, which requires you to be comfortable handling large objects such as tailgates, wheelhouses, etc., and using tools like plasma cutters, band saws, and belt sanders.

You handle both Swedish and English very well, in both spoken and written form. Other language skills are an advantage.

You will be trained internally so that you will be seen as a specialist/expert by external companies and clients in the future, which will require a strong ambition and willingness to develop on your part. The future level of responsibility is entirely up to your own effort and ambition.
