System Technician at Norrköping Municipality

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with IT operations and technology development in an organization where digitization is a high priority. You have a relevant education in IT or equivalent work experience and thrive in a role where you can work both operationally and strategically to develop and improve the IT environment. Experience with system improvements, operations, and maintenance of IT systems in a Windows environment is a prerequisite, and it is advantageous if you have experience with both Windows and Linux platforms, networking experience, and large-scale operations.

You are a problem solver with analytical thinking and have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and tasks. Collaborating and communicating with various functions and people within and outside the organization is a natural part of your work, and you express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of system technician, you will have a varied and developing job where you play a central role in the municipality's digital infrastructure. You are responsible for ensuring stable operation and maintenance of IT systems through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and actions in case of any disruptions. You analyze existing systems and implement improvements to optimize performance and functionality.

New installations and upgrades are an important part of your work, where you participate in planning and execution to ensure that the IT environment remains updated and future-proof. You act as a key person in handling more complex cases escalated from the service desk and actively contribute to documenting and improving routines so that more problems can be solved at the first line.

Collaboration is crucial in this role, both within the team and with other departments in the municipality. You participate in various projects and investigations aimed at developing and optimizing the municipality's IT landscape and work closely with your colleagues to strengthen and refine our IT environment.
