Your Role

Within the STS department - Simulators, Training Systems, and Support Systems for the Secure Support System Platforms section at Saab Aeronautics, we are now looking for a system tester regarding computer platforms for training systems.

As a system tester with us, you will have varied tasks across multiple areas, including hardware, operating systems, real-time systems, drivers, I/O systems, networks, and information security. You will work with testing, manage large amounts of data, and help review it, write publications while working with customers to understand their needs so that we can deliver what is requested.

Together with your colleagues, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle, from concept studies, requirements work, and design to the actual implementation, ongoing operations, and management. You will develop solutions that can be used in computer platforms for both training and support systems within Aeronautics, and the work is done in close collaboration with other departments at Saab as well as with companies and authorities both within and outside Sweden.

Your Profile

In the role of system tester with us, we see that you are analytical and have an easy time understanding and solving problems. You are professional, humble, empathetic, and have the ability to handle emerging events combined with long-term thinking. You combine this with good collaboration skills and the ability to drive assigned tasks within the current timeframe. You can work both independently and in a group with others, which requires you to be good at communicating both in writing and verbally, in both Swedish and English.

In addition to the personal competencies mentioned above, we see that you who are relevant for this role have knowledge of:

• Client and server hardware,
• IT security in general and security features in Windows
• Windows Server and Windows Client OS
• Powershell and scripting

It is also advantageous if you have the following experiences:

• Work primarily with Linux
• Infrastructure services such as authentication, file storage, and databases
• Larger network solutions, IP plans, etc.
• Virtualization
• Automated configuration management
• Requirements work and system design
• Work in the Solaris operating system

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
