As a Data & BI Specialist at Scandinavian Cosmetics, you will play a central role in the development of our data platform and our analytical solutions. The role encompasses the entire chain from data integration and storage to reporting and analysis. You will work to ensure a stable data infrastructure while creating user-friendly reports and dashboards for the business. An important part of the role is to understand the business needs and translate them into sustainable data-driven solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and visualize data with Power BI to create insights that support the business goals.
  • Create and maintain dynamic Power BI reports that make it easy for different departments to understand and act on data.
  • Work with tools like Azure Data Factory and SQL to extract and process data from various sources, ensuring it is reliable and easily accessible.
  • Implement and optimize solution architecture for data projects and ensure efficient and secure data management in the Azure environment.
  • Contribute knowledge in architectural decisions related to BI and data platforms. Act as a requirements setter towards external suppliers and participate in technical discussions.
  • Perform deep analyses and create data and insight reports that identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure high data quality, documentation, and contribute to a structured approach to data governance and security.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to identify data-driven opportunities and formulate solutions that support the business strategy.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has the ability to structure and analyze complex datasets and transform them into practical insights. You can easily explain technical and analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences. Furthermore, you have an understanding of best practices in data visualization and experience in creating intuitive and interactive dashboards.

As a person, you are communicative, self-starting, and responsible. You have a genuine interest in the company's operations and can easily immerse yourself in different situations and come up with suggestions on how data can be presented.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • A degree in computer science, statistics, information technology, or another relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with strong knowledge of Microsoft BI and Azure, as well as experience in data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Power BI, DAX, and SQL, as well as an understanding of cloud-based data solutions such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Fabric.
  • Experience working with database management, data integration, and ETL processes in cloud environments.
  • The ability to create user-friendly dashboards and reports that clarify business insights.
  • The ability to act as a bridge between IT and business, as well as experience working with external IT suppliers in requirement-setting and follow-up roles.
  • The ability to communicate technical solutions in a business-relevant and easily understandable way.
