Per Brahegymnasiet is a school that is innovative and forward-thinking, but also rests on a historical foundation and cherishes its traditions. We care for each other and work to create a workplace where we all thrive and develop. The school has about 1400 students and 150 employees and is beautifully located in the heart of Jönköping. The higher education preparatory programs we offer are EK, ES, IB, NA, and SA. The school is organized into four principal areas with shared support functions.

Your new job
As a lead teacher, you will drive, lead, and be responsible for the school's pedagogical development work together with the school management and the lead teacher group. You will be the process leader for a pedagogical development group, where you and your colleagues will investigate and develop our teaching practice. In addition to being a lead teacher, you will be part of a work team and teach in the subjects you are qualified to teach.
Your qualifications
As a person, you are inspired by collaboration and together with colleagues, you explore how we shape our teaching to optimize the conditions for our students to learn. We would like you to have experience from research collaboration with colleges and/or universities.
Furthermore, you are communicative, which is evident in your ability to build relationships with students and colleagues. As a person and colleague, you are considered to have good collaboration skills and contribute to a humble and open work climate. Important qualities for success in this role include the ability to plan, systematize, and follow up on your work. You have the ability to handle collegial friction and potential resistance to the development process. Additionally, you have the ability to lead a collegial group characterized by genuine curiosity about our teaching and how we make it accessible to our students. We place great importance on personal suitability.
What is required to become a lead teacher?
- You are a licensed upper secondary school teacher.
- You can document at least four years of well-regarded teaching experience through employment as a teacher within the school system.
- You have basic IT skills and use ICT (information and communication technology) as a natural part of your teaching.
- You have a particularly strong ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching.

The assignment is a three-year appointment, where you have a permanent position as a teacher at the base.
