Occupational Therapy Specialist Care in Gästrikland is Hiring Occupational Therapists
Occupational Therapy Specialist Care in Gästrikland provides specialist-based care for patients admitted to Gävle Hospital and for patients referred from other hospitals in the region, as well as for specific patients from primary care and other specialist care in other parts of the country. Our focus is on person-centered and evidence-based rehabilitation, uninterrupted care pathways, and good accessibility. This is carried out within the framework of given resources, priorities, and equity across the region.

We are now looking for two occupational therapists for our pleasant unit at Gävle Hospital!
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an occupational therapist at Specialist Care Gästrikland, you will work alongside all hospital departments and several clinics, such as hand clinic, lymph clinic, children's clinic, and memory clinic. We are a dynamic team of 26 occupational therapists and four rehab assistants working together to improve our patients' daily lives. Our occupational therapists play a key role in both outpatient and inpatient care, and we take pride in our high standards and our focus on patient well-being. We support each other in our daily work, and you will receive good supervision as well as excellent opportunities for professional development.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with:
- assessment, treatment, and training of activity ability and function.
- evaluation and prescription of assistive devices.
- training and advice for healthcare personnel.
- collaboration with the various units/departments we cooperate with.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who is attentive to others' needs and perspectives, contributing to constructive dialogue and a positive work environment. You plan and structure your work effectively, ensuring that deadlines are met and tasks are performed with quality and precision. You also handle unexpected situations calmly and creatively, viewing changes as opportunities for development rather than obstacles. Furthermore, you see what needs to be done, and through your commitment and proactive attitude, you help the organization develop and achieve results. To provide equitable care across the region, it is also beneficial if you are flexible and willing to travel for work, which also provides a chance to build strong relationships, exchange knowledge, and make a real difference in people's daily lives.
In the role of occupational therapist, you must:
- be a licensed occupational therapist.
For these positions, it is advantageous if you have experience working in inpatient care, preferably with a focus on stroke rehabilitation, but this is not a requirement. It is also beneficial if you have experience mentoring students.
