Job Advertisement: Nurse at KAVA

At KAVA, the surgical emergency care unit, we care for patients with acute surgical and trauma diagnoses. The patient group is diverse, and common diagnoses include appendicitis, ileus, gastrointestinal bleeding, trauma, and urological diseases. KAVA has 24 inpatient beds and receives most of the acute surgical flow from the emergency department. The goal of KAVA is to focus on the acute flow with rapid handling and short hospital stays, prioritizing the best for our patients. We are a stable team that enjoys working together and supports each other.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us at KAVA, you will be responsible for the care of six patients and will work alongside a nursing assistant. Each care team around the patient also includes a designated physician, and we have close collaboration with occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

As a nurse with us, you will work with:

• leading the care team you are responsible for
• coordinating medical and nursing issues
• medication distribution
• rounds
• basic nursing care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in surgery and emergency care. To thrive with us, you need to manage and appreciate the varied daily life in an emergency department. Tasks and pace vary throughout the day, so you should be able to reprioritize and be flexible without compromising patient safety and quality. You are responsible and have the patient's best interests in focus.

In the role of nurse, you should:

• be a licensed nurse.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have an appropriate specialist education and if you have knowledge and experience in surgical care and emergency care.
