The Education Department in Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. With us, you will help develop the best possible conditions for learning. We are looking for a PTP psychologist for the central student health services within the Education Department in Gävle. The central student health services consist of psychologists, social workers, special educators, and medical staff including school doctors and nurses. The unit is led by a manager and two unit leaders. Within student health services, we primarily work preventively and health-promoting to support students' development towards educational goals. The staff in student health services mainly work consultatively, investigatively, analytically, educationally, and as supervisors. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you contribute with your psychological expertise and knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PTP psychologist, you will be part of the central student health services and work with preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools focusing on health-promoting and preventive processes. You will be one of several psychologists and work in a multidisciplinary team. As a psychologist, you will work with supervision, consultation, education, and investigation with the goal of contributing psychological knowledge to educational activities. You will also have the opportunity to work with training and educational initiatives and utilize your knowledge as a psychologist from an individual, group, and organizational perspective.

You will receive supervision in your work from an experienced licensed psychologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, you must have a completed degree in psychology. You should have a very good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing, and you are an experienced user of digital tools in your professional practice. Experience working with children and adolescents is an advantage.

To perform the job well, you need to have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You should also be able to see logic and connections in complex information and have the ability to see long-term solutions. Furthermore, you need to have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You can collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. In your collaboration with others, you have a humble approach and recognize and reward others' contributions.

To perform the job well, you also need to have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities.
