JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to retirement, we are now seeking a new employee! Do you want a developing and independent job where you, together with colleagues, are a key player in students' education and future?

As a school nurse, you work with health promotion and preventive student health work by, among other things, offering all students regular health visits and health conversations according to national guidelines to follow the student's development and health. You prescribe and administer vaccinations according to an established program and perform basic healthcare as well as coordinate school doctor appointments and participate in scheduled receptions.

You are part of the school's student health team and will be an important part of the overall student health work where you collaborate with the deputy principal, special educator, school social worker, and teachers at the school. The student health team is the school's support in student health work, primarily in the promoting and preventive work.

Your work also includes maintaining good cooperation with parents and other agencies regarding students, such as child health services, youth reception, child and adolescent psychiatry, social services, primary care, etc. The work is varied and characterized by close contact with students and guardians. The combined student health service is an operation within the Knowledge Administration in Sandviken Municipality that offers medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special educational competence.

The mission of the student health service is to promote students' health and learning, prevent ill health, and contribute to creating learning environments that provide conditions for positive knowledge development. A prerequisite for developing and learning is that one feels comfortable and well in school.

The position is in primary school, divided among one or more schools. The principal/deputy principal always has the overall responsibility for student health within their operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for someone who, in addition to the given mission, has an interest in working with our student health team to create a safe and healthy school.

You who apply are a licensed nurse with specialist training in health care for children and adolescents, district nurse education, or school nurse program. You are communicative and cooperative with a salutogenic approach. You are interested in working with preventive health work and further developing a modern school nurse role. You have a good demeanor, can build trust with children and adolescents, have a good ability to plan and prioritize while being flexible in situations that require it. As a person, you are clear and full of energy, bring ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. You enjoy being visible in the operation and available to students and guardians.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Meritorious: Experience of previous work within the Medical Inspections of Student Health (EMI). You are well acquainted with working with digital system support and have experience documenting in the digital journal system Prorenata.

A driver's license and access to a car are required for the position.
