We are now looking for a new employee for our verification and validation operations within air testing and evaluation. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall aspects of projects that strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. About the position

As a test engineer, you will play an important role in the testing operations, working on everything from planning and execution to analysis and reporting of collected data. Your work directly contributes to strengthening our capabilities in aviation-related products and ensuring that systems function optimally in critical situations. You will be part of our testing operations where we verify and validate system capabilities. In this role, you will specifically work with decision support systems, testing a part of the aircraft system to ensure that the correct information is sent to the pilot. The aim is to provide the pilot with the best possible decision-making basis in tactical situations, for example during weapon delivery.

As a test engineer, you act as a central coordinator in the work of data collection and analysis. You plan and structure test setups to ensure that the collected data provides the right basis for subsequent analyses. The work involves close collaboration with test leaders, pilots, and technicians to gather valuable information and ensure that tests are conducted efficiently. Once the testing operations are completed, you analyze the results and compile a test report. In addition, you also contribute your expertise by supporting FMV's project management in concept and requirement work and participating in technical reviews.

About you

We are looking for someone who is educated as a civil/college or defense engineer with relevant technical orientation or has equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have experience working with data analysis. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

It is meritorious if you have experience working within AI. If you have experience working in project form and programming in Matlab, Python, SQL, or equivalent, it is an advantage. We would like you to have previous experience in conducting testing operations and with the Armed Forces' current aviation or sensor systems, but this is not a requirement for the position. Knowledge of sensors is seen as a positive.
