About the position

As a midwife in the specialist clinic, you will be part of our genital team consisting of doctors, social workers, and midwives. A significant part of the work involves longer treatment contacts for genital pain issues, such as vulvodynia. Most patients are referred from sexual health clinics in outpatient care, youth clinics, and gynecological clinics in the region. In addition, follow-up and support for patients with vulvovaginal skin diseases are also included. Tasks will also include cervical sampling, contraceptive counseling, IUD insertion/implantation, and STI testing.

In our clinic, we always strive for all patients, regardless of functionality, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual identity, or sexual practice, to feel welcome and experience good treatment. We also have a specific clinic called LGBTQ Youth (ages 13-29) and an LGBTQ gynecological clinic, which can be booked via Always Open, without a referral.

We are looking for someone who

• is confident in your role as a midwife
• has a strong interest in sexual health, feels comfortable discussing sexual issues, and has experience working with treatment for genital pain.
• values diversity and understands how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others
• is responsible and self-structures your approach and drives processes forward
• easily adapts to changing circumstances and sees opportunities in changes
• is attentive and has the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings
• communicates and resolves conflicts constructively.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed midwife with prescribing rights
• At least 3 years of experience working in sexual health, for example at a youth clinic or sexual health clinic
• LGBTQ competence.

Meritorious:

• Sexology education
• Andrology education
• Further education in conversation methodology
• Experience in treating chronic genital pain and sexual issues.
