At Sachsska Children's and Youth Hospital, Södersjukhuset, we provide qualified emergency and specialist care for children and adolescents of all ages.

Based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, we work in interdisciplinary teams with various specialist competencies and together with the children's parents. We are now looking for someone who wants to work alongside competent colleagues in a rapidly advancing field.

Job Description

Ward 64 is part of the emergency care section at Sachsska Children's and Youth Hospital. Here we care for everything from newborns to adolescents up to 18 years of age, with varying diagnoses and care needs. The most common reasons for admission are respiratory problems, infections, seizures, and some surgical cases. What is unique about the ward is that we have the ability to care for children and adolescents who require CPAP and respiratory monitoring.

The variation in ages, diagnoses, and families and their situations gives you great opportunities for development and broad competence regarding children and adolescents in need of emergency care. We work in interprofessional teams. In addition to nurses, there are nursing assistants, doctors, meal coordinators, play therapists, dietitians, social workers, and medical secretaries in the unit. On Ward 64, two unit managers work together with shared responsibility and leadership for the staff group.

In the role of nurse on the ward, you have a central task in planning, leading, and implementing nursing work. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and who wants to actively participate in our efforts to improve and develop the important care we provide on Ward 64. We are a close-knit group who enjoy working together, helping each other, and laughing a lot. We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, flexible, and has good organizational and collaborative skills. You can work independently in your professional role and have the ability to see the big picture. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Your onboarding will be tailored based on your previous experiences.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is humble, has the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation, and has a respectful approach. You are also interested in contributing your knowledge and enthusiasm, taking initiative, and seeing opportunities for development within the organization. You combine independent work with a good ability to collaborate. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.

Experience in pediatric care or emergency care is advantageous.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Competence Requirements

• Licensed nurse
• Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1
