We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the Downstream Software R&D department to strengthen one of our teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop software for our chromatography systems in close collaboration with your colleagues. This is a permanent position based at our site in Uppsala.

In the role of Senior Software Engineer with us, you will work on all aspects of software development; from understanding our customers' needs and documenting requirements and test cases, to writing code, automated test cases, and manually testing that the software works as intended, as well as being involved in verification and design documentation. You will be part of a cutting-edge development team and work closely with colleagues from other disciplines including system engineers, UX specialists, application specialists, hardware developers, and product managers.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop software for our products, primarily our chromatography systems.
• Develop software components, mainly in C# .NET.
• Maintain existing products.
• Write technical documentation such as design, requirements, and test specifications.
• Support our customer support team with technical expertise and lead technical investigations.

Your Background:

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in software development who is motivated to create systems that assist researchers and pharmaceutical developers in their daily work. We seek someone who enjoys collaborating with others to develop software for advanced technical equipment, is a team player, and likes to solve complex problems together with others.

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, Molecular Bioinformatics, or similar).
• Solid experience in software development with a focus on C#/.NET.
• Experience in developing software as part of systems that include both hardware and electronics that need to be considered.
• Experience in product development and understanding of a product's lifecycle, preferably software development as part of a complete system, where hardware is involved.
• Familiarity with working within a quality system and a good understanding of its importance in ensuring the platform's future quality.
• Fluent communication in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
