About the unit
The System Management Unit (SFE) at the FMTIS unit manages and develops the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems. Our main mission is to ensure the operation of the systems and that their information is secure, accurate, and accessible. We contribute to the operational capability of the Armed Forces.
The IT section, where the position will be filled, belongs to the IT Security Department. The section is responsible for infrastructure management for several systems, and we collaborate extensively with other sections, departments, and units. You will be surrounded by a group of specialists with different areas of expertise.
Main responsibilities
As an infrastructure architect, you will work in a structured manner and contribute with analyses during technical changes. With your adequate technical expertise, you will provide descriptions, models, visions, and analyses of complex structures and relationships. You will collaborate with other sections, departments & units. The role requires you to be self-driven and have a natural engagement. Work is primarily on-site, with limited opportunities for remote work.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Several years of experience with large-scale complex IT systems, infrastructure & environments
- Documented experience working as an architect, as well as documented experience working systematically with architecture supported by recognized architectural frameworks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Good ability to express oneself in writing and speech, both in English and Swedish
- Good ability to see the big picture, both from a technical and a user perspective
Personal qualities
You need to thrive in an outgoing consultative role where you, together with the unit's technicians, find the optimal solution. It is important that you have the right attitude and engagement, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills. As a person, you are structured, positive, and enjoy working with others. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We expect you to share the Armed Forces' values and code of conduct.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge and familiarity with the Armed Forces' internal processes
- Knowledge of how different quality characteristics are affected by different infrastructure solutions
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Good knowledge of recognized architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, NAF
