We are now looking for a Senior Software Verification Engineer for the Downstream Software R&D department to strengthen one of our software development teams. This is a permanent position based at our site in Uppsala.

As a Senior Software Verification Engineer with us, you will act as Test Lead in a team of 7-9 software developers and software testers. In this role, you will be involved in the entire development process from requirements specification to implementation and testing, and finally verification. We work in an agile and global environment where automated unit testing, TDD (Test Driven Design), and BDD (Behavior Driven Design) are integral parts of our work approach. You will be part of a development team and work closely with colleagues from other disciplines, including system engineers, UX specialists, application specialists, hardware developers, and product managers.

Your responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and verify new features for our products.
• Write technical documentation such as design, requirements, and test specifications.
• Support our customer support team with technical expertise about our products and lead technical investigations of customer issues.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with other software, system, and hardware teams to drive the development of new features.
• Communicate with external customers and colleagues within Cytiva globally, both in writing and verbally.
• Maintain existing products and platforms.

The main requirements for the position include:

We are looking for someone who is engaged by new challenges, is unpretentious, and quickly understands and embraces new technology. You are confident in your technical skills and comfortable collaborating with others to find solutions and achieve results.

• MSc/BSc in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Solid experience in test automation and the development of manual test cases.
• Experience with TDD (Test Driven Design) and BDD (Behavior Driven Design).
• Experience in product development and an understanding of a product's lifecycle.
• Familiarity with working within a quality system and a good understanding of its importance in ensuring the platform's future quality.
• You communicate fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is a plus if you also have:

• Experience in software development with a focus on, for example, C#/.NET and/or C++.
• Experience with TDD (Test Driven Design) and BDD (Behavior Driven Design).
• Knowledge of agile working methods.
