Business Developer IT

Do you have a good understanding of IT development, are driven, have good communication skills, and can contribute to a positive work environment? Do you enjoy working closely with the business to find good solutions? Would you like to work in an organization with a meaningful purpose and contribute to societal benefit? We are now looking for a business developer to contribute to our digital business development.

Why the Swedish Food Agency?

Food and drinking water affect everyone in one way or another, and the interest in both food itself and the work of the Swedish Food Agency is very high.

At the Swedish Food Agency, we contribute to ensuring that food and drinking water are safe for consumers in Sweden, that no one is deceived about what food contains, and to sustainable food consumption. The Swedish Food Agency is involved in building Sweden's civil defense and plays a key role in ensuring a robust food and drinking water supply. We are in an expansive phase and have a great need to work with digitization, new solutions, and further development of our existing systems to support the important development of our operations.

At the Swedish Food Agency, we work efficiently and with high quality, and all employees, leaders, and managers share responsibility for the agency's mission and development from a holistic perspective. Through our shared leadership, we promote engagement and learning.

Your Role

As a business developer IT within the Swedish Food Agency, you have a broad role where you work closely with the business to find the best business development ideas through innovations and feasibility studies and to translate these into services and products in line with our goals and strategies. If applicable, you will also be responsible for assisting in translating the business's requirements into effective IT support and ensuring that the business is supported by the right and well-balanced solutions between quality, efficiency, and security.

You have a strong interest in developing the business. You have experience in business development with IT support, methods, and working practices in the early phases from idea to project, as well as translating needs into overarching solutions. You have extensive experience collaborating with other organizations and suppliers to produce good applications that center around the end user's needs and life events.

The Unit for Digitization and IT works with business development and digitization issues, drives projects, and is responsible for the management, operation, and support of IT. The position is located in the staff unit where the Enterprise architects are also found. The unit is currently in an expansion phase and consists of just over 43 people.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education and several years of experience in business development through IT and strategic work in the near term. You have knowledge of methods for investigations, benefit calculations, processes, and have acquired this through education or work experience. You have been involved in driving digitization projects and are accustomed to working with investigations, feasibility studies, and leading workshops. You have a very good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form and have basic knowledge of English in spoken and written form. You have, of course, an interest in business development and digitization. It is an advantage if you have education in data/system science or similar, education in business architecture, and experience in project management/governance (preferably PM3).

Experience in system development from idea and requirements to development, operation, and management is positive. Furthermore, you may benefit from having experience in strategic work, change management, innovation work, service design, process development, and requirements work.

Your Personal Qualities

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and take a holistic perspective, as your work will span the entire organization and you will work with large contact areas. You are experienced in leading people and are proactive, asking the right questions to challenge and achieve results. Furthermore, you are analytical and solution-oriented. You take initiative and are willing to try new working methods, which is based on being communicative and receptive, well-organized, and having a structured working method. You enjoy working cross-functionally and understanding the “customer's needs and situation.”

In our selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
