Academic Resource is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Cytiva in Uppsala.

The position is a long-term consulting assignment until the end of the year with the possibility of extension.

The work is full-time, on-site.

Location in Uppsala.

Start immediately or as agreed.

Department Description:

The requested position is within the hardware department of Downstream R&D, which develops chromatography instruments/systems.

The focus within the department is mechanics, electronics, optics, software engineering, and cyber/product security.

Role/Job Description:

This role will work in a cross-functional project team. In addition to embedded software developers, mechanical and electronics engineers are also part of the team.

The assignment is part of a project that is currently in the prototype stage.

The responsibilities for the senior embedded software developer vary and may include:

• Designing and implementing embedded software for STM32 microcontrollers.

• Troubleshooting software issues to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborating with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components.

• Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to colleagues.

• Developing and maintaining documentation for software design and implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.

• Expertise in motor control and robotics.

• Proven experience with STM32 microcontrollers and related development tools.

• Strong background in C programming for embedded systems.

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Eclipse ThreadX.

• Practical experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal Attributes:

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other developers.
