The Army Staff is looking for a Material Area Manager (MOA) Secure Systems
One of the Army Staff's focus areas is to build the new army. An army that focuses on the army's capabilities in the field and in this build new as well as restructure existing units. At the same time, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and manages the production of the army's war units and subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.
The above, combined with the continued establishment of the Army Staff as a cohesive and unifying force, makes the tasks very varied, developing, and dynamic. About the Unit
The Material Section at the Army Staff's Armaments Department is responsible for the development, procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of the material areas for which the Material Area Manager is responsible. In line with the army's significant growth, material procurement is a major focus where the section, in close cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces' Materiel Administration, realizes the army's upcoming capability needs in relevant material. The Material Section currently consists of about 20 colleagues.
Main Responsibilities
The Army Chief is, as MOAC, responsible for ground material within the entire Armed Forces and as Material Area Manager (MOA) you have overall responsibility for the material within the assigned material area throughout its lifecycle, from developing and formulating goals and requirements to decommissioning.
Examples of tasks within your material area:
- Overall responsibility for the material area
- Lead work on requirements for material systems in the war units and lead the design of technical systems within the material area.
- Lead the formulation of assignments to FMV within secure systems, as well as lead the development of other prerequisite and guiding documents within the area
- Participate in studies and projects regarding material and capability development within the area
Qualification Requirements
- Civilian
- Manual B driver's license
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious
- Experience of working in the Armed Forces
- Experience of working with the material process
Personal Qualities
The position at the Army Staff requires good collaboration skills and social competence. As the work pace is often high, it requires you to have high stress tolerance and endurance. You are proactive and engaged with a good ability to independently plan and solve tasks that may extend over time.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
