IT Technician at the Swedish Food Agency
Are you technically inclined, have good communication skills, and love solving tricky IT problems? Do you want to work broadly with IT, enjoy helping people, and be an important support to all employees? Do you want to work in an organization with a meaningful purpose and contribute to societal benefit? We are now looking for an IT technician to expand our IT service desk.
Why the Swedish Food Agency?
Food and drinking water affect everyone in one way or another, and the interest in both food itself and the work of the Swedish Food Agency is very high.
At the Swedish Food Agency, we contribute to ensuring that food and drinking water are safe for Sweden's consumers, that no one is deceived about what food contains, and to sustainable food consumption. The Swedish Food Agency is involved in building Sweden's civil defense and plays a key role in a robust food and drinking water supply. We are in an expansive phase and have a great need to work with digitization, new solutions, and further development of our existing systems to support the important development of our operations.
Your Role
You will be sitting in the Swedish Food Agency's service desk and handling cases that come in via visits, email, phone, and case management system. You will troubleshoot and assist users with their technical problems related to hardware and software. You will prepare and install computers, mobile devices, and workplaces, write guides in our self-help system, and manage permissions and licenses. You will also participate in the team's work on developing work methods and some other smaller projects within IT and the organization.
Your Qualifications
To fit the role of IT technician at the Swedish Food Agency, you need to have a high school education with an IT focus or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have also enhanced your IT knowledge through courses, such as ITIL, Active Directory, and Microsoft CM. We expect you to have at least two years of recent experience as an IT technician in support. Knowledge of ITIL or process development for IT support is advantageous.
Your Personal Attributes
As a person, you are service-oriented, technically interested, social, and enjoy working with different types of people. You can work both independently and together with your colleagues to solve problems. You understand what it means to work in a smaller operations and support team where we share responsibility for both big and small tasks.
