We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the Downstream Software R&D department to strengthen one of our development teams. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on developing software for our software product, UNICORN, which is used among other things in our chromatography systems. The position is a permanent employment and is based at our site in Uppsala.

In the role of Senior Software Engineer with us, you will work on all aspects of software development; from understanding our customers' needs and documenting requirements, to developing code, design documentation, and automated test cases, all to ensure that our software meets customer requirements. You will be part of a development team consisting of 7-9 software developers/testers and work closely with colleagues from other disciplines around the world, including systems engineers, UX specialists, application specialists, hardware developers, and product managers.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance software for our chromatography systems and other products, primarily in C# .NET.
• Write technical documentation such as design, requirements, and test specifications.
• Support our customer support team with technical expertise about our products and lead technical investigations of customer issues.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with other software, systems, and hardware teams to drive the development of new features.
• Maintain existing products and platforms.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in software development who is motivated to create systems that assist researchers and pharmaceutical developers in their daily work. We seek someone who enjoys working collaboratively to develop software for advanced technical equipment, is a team player, and is driven by solving complex problems.

• MSc/BSc in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Solid experience in software development with a focus on C#/.NET and/or C++.
• Experience in software development as part of a system solution that includes both software and hardware.
• Experience in product development and an understanding of a product's lifecycle.
• Familiarity with working within a quality system and a good understanding of its importance in ensuring the platform's future quality.
• Fluent communication in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
