As a Software Engineer – Customer Delivery, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between Vidhance's groundbreaking video technology and customer needs. You will work closely with customers to ensure smooth integration into their platforms, solve technical challenges, and optimize performance for various environments. Your work makes a real difference, from ensuring perfect video quality in smartphones to driving innovation in mobile video processing. You will be part of the Xenon team, a high-performing and supportive group of nine engineers (three of whom are in Shanghai). The team values collaboration, problem-solving, and having fun together, both at work and through shared activities throughout the year.

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work on behalf of Vidhance. The position is full-time and long-term, with excellent opportunities for permanent employment directly with Vidhance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

This role is a dynamic combination of technical development, problem-solving, and customer collaboration. Some days involve coding, debugging, and optimizing video algorithms, while others focus on helping customers integrate the technology into their systems. Your responsibilities include:

Taking ownership of customer projects and driving them forward with enthusiasm
Debugging and optimizing video processing software in embedded environments
Breaking down complex technical problems into structured, solution-oriented steps
Integrating Vidhance's software into various camera systems and mobile platforms
Providing technical support to customers and ensuring smooth implementation
Working closely with global smartphone manufacturers and chipset suppliers
Traveling internationally (approximately 4 times a year) to collaborate with customers on-site

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Must Have:

Degree in computer science or a related field
Strong knowledge of C++ (through education, personal projects, or work experience)
Experience with embedded systems or low-level development
Ability to debug and solve complex software problems
Passion for collaborating with customers and solving real challenges
Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings
Fluent English in both spoken and written form, as it is required to perform the job

Nice to Have:

Understanding of image processing and computer vision
Knowledge of Chinese, as several customers speak the language

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

Location: Uppsala
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Travel: 3–4 trips per year (usually 1–2 weeks per trip, mainly to China and Taiwan)
