Signals Protection Officer at the Army Staff Communication Center
The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) is now seeking a Signals Protection Officer for the Army Staff Communication Center (SbC AST) within the Communication Department.
About the Unit
The Communication Department consists of four Communication Centers (SbC), an International Communication Center, a Signals Protection Section, and a Communication Section that supports the Headquarters (HKV) and the branches of the Armed Forces in Enköping, Uppsala, and Muskö. The mission of SbC AST is to serve the operations of the Army Staff related to communication security and signals protection. The Communication Center is in a phase of change, and the work will largely focus on creating a cohesive team whose main task is to provide solution-oriented service to the Army Staff. The job requires a strong drive and the ability to adapt to organizational changes. We are a small team that works closely together to solve our tasks in the best way, so your ability to be a good team player is fundamental. The position demands high accuracy, a strong security mindset, and a strong sense of order.
Main Responsibilities
As the Signals Protection Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the various tasks and readiness tasks that the section has towards the Army Staff. For example, your tasks will include planning, leading, and implementing various projects within signals protection. You will also support the serviced units with signals protection services, including signals protection training, material service, preventive maintenance, and user support regarding signals protection material.

- Good computer skills
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Driver's license B

DESIRABLE
- Signals protection training
- Trained signals protection instructor and/or signals protection chief
- Experience working with classified information
- Experience in information management
- Experience with the Armed Forces' cryptographic systems
- Previous service at a Communication Center
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English
- Trained system operator on relevant signals protection systems
- Previous service in the Armed Forces or other defense-related activities
- Completed military service, GU, or voluntary organization
- Project management training or equivalent

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date: to be agreed upon. Work location: Enköping, but you may support our other sections in other locations. The position is civilian.
