About the Unit

The Medical School K 3 trains medics and licensed personnel for reconnaissance units and prepares for international missions. The training covers everything from basic anatomy/physiology and individual care to advanced pre-hospital units and surgical teams. Some parts of the training take place under field conditions where one follows the unit. This requires personal skills to take care of oneself and one’s equipment under field conditions.

Main Responsibilities

As a medical instructor at the Medical School K3, you will be part of a high-quality and quality-assured training platform with a long tradition.

In your position, you will initially primarily work with the training and exercises of Advanced Medics and Reconnaissance Medics. You will also train and exercise various medical units together with other staff, e.g., Medical Group, Unit Location, Light Trauma Group, and Light Surgical Group. You are expected to plan, prepare, and conduct lectures, practical moments, and applied exercises.

Over time, you will also work to support the school's other tasks such as the development and implementation of new systems for combat units. You will also develop into a course manager for various courses at the Medical School K3.

Qualifications

• Approved military officer exam
• Experience in training military medical care
• Driver's license category B (manual transmission)

Personal Qualities

The job at the Medical School K3 is multifaceted with several different target groups for training. The work requires that you are confident in yourself and have experience and competence. You must be comfortable speaking in front of people and managing their different levels of knowledge. At the Medical School, everything from basic defense medical skills to very specialized capabilities is taught, from individual soldier care to advanced resuscitation and surgery. We are a team consisting of professional officers, nurses, doctors, and medics. Tasks can quickly vary between preparing and conducting training for medics or trauma teams to conducting material service. Favorable qualities include good collaboration skills, flexibility, and taking responsibility for assigned service areas.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and effective units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a reconnaissance battalion and an intelligence battalion.
The reconnaissance battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on site during a mission. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).

At K 3, there is also the Armed Forces' survival school and the Aviation Unit responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachuting. There are also support functions such as the Garrison Unit and the Logistics Unit. Please read more on this page.
