Logistics Officer at the Defence Medicine Centre
Do you want a central role in keeping operations running through effective logistics and material management? We are looking for a meticulous and solution-oriented logistics officer who enjoys planning, coordinating, and ensuring that the right resources are in the right place at the right time.
Defence Medicine Centre
The Defence Medicine Centre is the Swedish Armed Forces' center for the function of defence medicine, located in Gothenburg. Our mission is to provide the Armed Forces with qualified personnel in healthcare, and additionally, the mission includes the development and supply of medical materials and pharmaceuticals. The Hospital Battalion operates as the Armed Forces' operational field hospital unit with operational capability both nationally and internationally, emphasizing command, logistics, and healthcare. Furthermore, the unit conducts conscription training. The personnel categories present in the unit include medical staff, officers, soldiers, and conscripts.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include planning and executing material maintenance, where ensuring that equipment and systems are in good condition is the focus. Furthermore, the role is responsible for planning and executing transport services, which includes organizing and coordinating transports to meet the needs of the operation. Supply management is another central task, where careful planning and execution are required to ensure that the right resources are available at the right time. Finally, the work involves placing orders in existing support systems, where administration and follow-up of the ordering processes are an important part of the responsibility.
Qualifications
- Completed and approved specialist officer training/reserve officer training, or YOP (NBO)
- Relevant and current experience in logistics service within the Armed Forces
- Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English
- Driver's license B for manual transmission
Personal Qualities
We are looking for a structured and responsible person with good planning skills. In this role, you will work with planning and executing material maintenance, transport services, and supply management, which requires accuracy and a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy collaborating and have a good ability to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you are flexible and take the initiative to ensure that the needs of the operation are met efficiently.
Meritorious
- Completed logistics training within the Armed Forces
- Knowledge of systems LIFT, PRIO, and VIDAR
- PRIO training in Warehouse and Technical Services
- Civil education or experience in warehousing, transport, or hazardous goods/flammable materials

Level: At least appointed SO 6 or equivalent
Employment degree: Full-time. Travel and evening/weekend work may occur in the position.

The position involves a war placement in the Hospital Battalion.
