About the FM Drone Center

The Swedish Armed Forces Drone Center has been a newly organized unit based in Karlsborg since the beginning of the year. The unit consists of four different departments: training, development, exercise/training, and technical services. The training department is responsible for planning and conducting courses within each RPAS system. The development department tests and verifies the RPAS systems of the future. The exercise/training department is responsible for and participates in central exercise planning related to RPAS systems in the Armed Forces. Technical services support each department with maintenance and technical assistance.

Main Responsibilities

As an instructor, you will belong to the SRPAS section under the training department. The section is responsible for combat technical systems and trains commanders, instructors, and flight teachers. Your task as an instructor will involve skill training on the systems for which the section is responsible, aiming to build and maintain a high level of system understanding. During course activities, you will be part of an instructor team where you will lead/support theory lessons and practical flight exercises. After a period, you will also have the opportunity to be trained as a flight teacher, which involves more responsibility during courses or other assignments within the section. You will also be involved in and support the development and training department by testing new systems or assisting with exercise planning.

• Approved officer exam
• B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing (Swedish and English)
• Full vision (1.0 with or without visual aids)
• Normal color vision

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
