Deputy Staff Chief for F 7

We are looking for a deputy staff chief for F 7. We seek someone who can create a holistic view and drive operations forward, and who appreciates a good structure in their work.

About the Unit

F 7 has a broad operation conducted at several different locations and spans a variety of areas of expertise. The flotilla staff leads, supports, and coordinates the work of other units/squadrons.

The unit's leadership consists of a staff chief, deputy staff chief, and staff administrator.

Main Responsibilities

As the deputy staff chief, you will work in the flotilla staff's leadership triad where you are expected to act in the staff chief's role during their absence. You will work simultaneously on various tasks and utilize a holistic perspective to lead and distribute the incoming tasks of the unit. The work involves a fast pace with many contacts within the organization. Your responsibilities also include being part of F 7's contact point with higher management.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Officer, OF 3
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Good computer skills
  • Driving license B for manual transmission
  • Swedish citizenship

Since the position involves handling many cases simultaneously, you need to have a good structure and work according to a clear process. We also believe that you have an analytical ability that allows you to solve problems while keeping the overall picture in mind.

  • Good ability to manage cases in VIDAR and SharePoint
  • Previous experience in staff work

Employment type: Permanent. For re-employment of officers, a probationary period of 6 months may apply.

The position requires physical and mental capability. Travel in service may occur for both work and personal training. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you in a heightened state of readiness.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here, there is combat aviation as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources of transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are conducted in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
