Insurance Knowledgeable Team Leader for Customer Team

Insurance AB Göta Lejon is 100% owned by the City of Gothenburg and is part of the Gothenburg Municipal Management Company. We insure (or coordinate insurance coverage) only for the City of Gothenburg and associated operations. Göta Lejon shall be the City of Gothenburg's tool in the city's safety work, and the goal is to keep the city's risk costs as low as possible. Göta Lejon shall also contribute to making Gothenburg a safer and more pleasant city to live in and visit. Göta Lejon procures reinsurance which, due to its volume, provides economies of scale. This benefits the entire municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an insurance knowledgeable team leader for the customer team where you, with a developing, present, and clear leadership, contribute to the development of the company and its employees. As an insurance knowledgeable team leader for the customer team, you act both strategically and operationally. In the role, you lead and distribute tasks within the customer team, which consists of seven people. Roles in the group include customer responsible, insurance responsible, claims responsible, risk engineers, and insurance administrators. The role also includes responsibility for a few customers and driving strategic development initiatives. You are part of the management team and report to the CEO.

In the management team, you work together with the CEO and other members on the company's strategic planning, governance, follow-up, and development. You contribute with your experience and competence and actively participate in implementing decisions from the company or the City of Gothenburg. You work to strengthen the customer perspective. Through good self-leadership, you contribute to a constructive and good atmosphere in the management team.

As the leader of the team, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing processes with a focus on delivery to customers and other identified stakeholders based on the company's mission, strategy, budget, and governing documents. You are responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up of strategic activities and tasks for the team. Furthermore, you ensure that documentation is quality assured according to guidelines and routines and that environmental monitoring takes place. Participating in various conferences is a natural part of the role. You keep your team updated, as well as report from the team to the CEO, management team, board, city, and other stakeholders.

You have customer responsibility for a few customers where you act as an advisor in insurance matters and keep the customer updated on the scope and content of the insurance. You participate in risk inspections and follow up on recommendations together with the risk engineer. You keep the customer updated and contribute information and knowledge to underwriting and premium calculation. You participate in planning and executing customer activities.

We are looking for you with:

• Academic degree in a relevant field
• At least seven years of experience in corporate insurance and/or industrial insurance, preferably from different roles in the insurance industry
• Understanding of underwriting and risk
• Several years of leadership experience
• Experience in property insurance is an advantage
