The Corporate Staff for Regional Development is part of the Corporate Office at Västra Götalandsregionen. The staff is responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating efforts to promote sustainable regional development in Västra Götaland. This includes VGR's societal mission to conduct regional development and be responsible for regional public transport.

The Department of Community Analysis is responsible for collecting, processing, quality assurance, and publishing facts and statistics about the state and development in Västra Götaland. We conduct qualified community analyses in areas such as demographics, culture, environment, business, labor market, skills supply, and physical planning. The department is also responsible for evaluating strategies, programs, projects, and operational grants within regional development.

We are now looking for a senior community analyst for our Department of Community Analysis at the Corporate Staff for Regional Development.

Your Mission

Your tasks will consist of independently or in teams conducting and sometimes initiating investigations and analyses, forecasts, and statistical processing that provide knowledge support for politicians and civil servants in the work for sustainable development in Västra Götaland. Areas affected include demographics, socioeconomics, labor market, skills supply, and business development.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree, preferably at the master's level. You should have documented several years of experience working with qualified analyses in various areas of community development, as well as good knowledge of statistical processing and experience working with data visualizations. It is also important that you have an interest in and good knowledge of community development and urban planning, and it is an advantage if you have experience working in politically governed organizations. You should be development-oriented and driven, with the ability to organize, structure, and plan your own work.
