System Administrator for IT Support in HR

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are Gothenburg! Now we need you who want to make the job easier for managers and employees in the City of Gothenburg. To ensure that the employees of the City of Gothenburg receive the best possible service, we work within the HR operational area to understand the needs of the operations and based on that manage and develop common HR applications and application platforms. We provide expert support to the operations and set requirements for suppliers.

In the HR system management unit, we are 20 system administrators working with various HR applications. A focus area for us is to continue working on automation and simplification of processes and IT support, and you will contribute to the ongoing development of service and support around our current applications for our IT support within the HR area.

Your main tasks as a system administrator for IT support within the HR operational area will include:

  • contacting suppliers regarding support issues, upgrades, and development questions
  • leading/conducting acceptance tests regarding new versions
  • analyzing incidents/support issues both internally and externally and suggesting improvements
  • maintaining and ensuring that the systems support current HR processes and services
  • communicating changes and new module functionalities in the system with others at Intraservice
  • participating in investigations regarding new applications in the area
  • contributing to user forums and interest groups and development projects
  • handling operational issues in collaboration with the operations organization at Intraservice
  • working to ensure information security and compliance with GDPR in our IT support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in HR or IT and/or equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience and good familiarity with working with various IT systems. Additionally, you have professional experience in the HR field that includes knowledge of HR processes and applicable laws.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience and knowledge in specific HR areas as our IT support covers, among other things, work environment and health, recruitment, rehabilitation, education, personnel follow-up, and LAS management, among others.

The following are also advantageous:

  • experience in system administration of IT support within the HR area
  • experience in service and support work
  • knowledge of the laws and agreements that govern the HR area.

You are a proactive person who takes initiative and completes what you start. You are communicative with a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. Since the position involves many contact points, both internally and externally, you need to be skilled at collaborating and maintaining good relationships. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. You work in a structured manner and have good analytical skills, which enable you to find solutions to problems when they arise. We would like you to be a development-oriented person motivated to learn new things and develop, and to come up with new ideas and take initiatives for improvements.
