We are eight employees in the accounting unit, located in Rådhus Skåne, close to buses and trains.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role is for a controller primarily aimed at Kristianstad Municipality's municipal companies.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Qualified accounting issues and matters concerning municipal companies, such as financial leasing, taxes, and VAT. This includes possible support during the completion of year-end accounts, preparation of annual reports, and declarations.
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements for the parent company and the municipal group
  • Liquidity forecasts
  • Work with the municipality's finance and loan issues, strategically and operationally
  • Reconciliations, analyses, and investigations
  • Monthly closing and some ongoing accounting for Kristianstad Kommunföretag AB and Trygghetscentralen i Skåne Nordost AB. Also, preparation of interim and annual financial statements for these companies.

You will also be involved in and in some cases lead the following tasks:

  • Work with interim and annual financial statements for the municipality
  • CSRD reporting for the group
  • Participation in owner dialogues
  • Support to the CEO in KKF
  • VAT recovery

You will belong to the accounting unit, which has overall responsibility for the municipality's ongoing accounting, financial systems, banking and finance issues, internal control, corporate matters, foundations, as well as annual and interim financial statements. We also play an important role in communicating and supporting other municipal operations in financial matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have a university degree in economics or equivalent education with a focus on business economics that the employer assesses as equivalent. We want you to have experience in working with qualified accounting issues. You also need to have worked with preparing consolidated financial statements and have knowledge or a strong interest in financing issues. Knowledge and interest in banking and finance issues are meritorious.

We prefer that you have a background as an auditor or controller or that you have experience working in a similar role in another municipality. It is also an advantage to have worked with financial issues within public operations. Experience with sustainability issues is also meritorious.

The ability to apply specialized and detailed expert knowledge and the ability to convey this to others in a pedagogical way is required for the role. You show understanding and leverage the organization's various areas of expertise. Carefully analyzing and assessing different types of data to draw well-considered conclusions and create effective solutions is a prerequisite for the work.

You need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing, and you are used to writing instructions and procedure descriptions. Of course, you handle IT tools in your daily work such as Office 365, and if you have previously worked in the systems Visma RoR, Fortnox, and Capego, it is meritorious.

As a person, you are good at creating and maintaining good relationships, both internally and externally. This means you collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You have no problem following instructions, procedures, statutory requirements, and policies, and of course, you can adhere to set timelines. Furthermore, you adapt to changing conditions without difficulty. You encourage and support change initiatives. You find it easy to adjust your behavior in relation to the needs of others.

OTHER

The Municipal Executive Office leads, coordinates, follows up, and develops the municipality's operations from a holistic perspective. Here you will find operations such as finance, HR, IT, citizen center, and strategic issues, as well as all common services with cleaning, meal, and transport operations in the administration. The work of the Municipal Executive Office should contribute to a positive development for everyone who lives, works, runs a business, studies, or visits our municipality. The Municipal Council provides the framework and directives.
