We are looking for someone who enjoys working with extensive, complex investigations that can last for several months. It requires perseverance, a strong analytical ability, and a structured approach. You will be part of a team but work individually on cases and are responsible for ensuring they are handled in a legally secure and administratively correct manner.

Investigations, analyses, and customer contact

As a claims investigator, you are a state employee tasked with ensuring that the right person receives the right compensation at the right time. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and investigating applications for disability pensions and/or follow-up checks of disability pensions. You will meet with insured individuals who have been injured at work or on their way to or from work. Due to their injuries, they apply for compensation under the work injury insurance.

In your work, you assess whether the individual is entitled to compensation according to the Work Injury Insurance Act by conducting qualified investigations. You investigate, analyze, and evaluate a vast amount of information. You have good investigative methodology and investigate the case based on its nature while ensuring proper documentation. You motivate and provide proposals for decisions.

Contact with individuals occurs via phone and in writing. You gather information and collaborate with employers, the employment agency, doctors, and trade unions. As a claims investigator, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is essential that you have a high level of security awareness. The work is conducted according to applicable legislation and established work processes. Internally, you have access to support functions such as specialists and insurance medical advisors.

  • has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
  • is confident and trustworthy, even in stressful situations

  • has a systematic and meticulous approach to work
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • has a good ability to use a computer as a working tool.

It is advantageous if you have

  • worked with investigations and made decisions affecting individuals
  • good knowledge of how to professionally meet people in various life situations
  • knowledge of income that affects sickness benefits and sick pay
  • experience in reviewing medical documentation
  • experience in income investigations
  • very good knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act.

Several positions available, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment.
