Economist at the Health, Care and Social Services Administration
As an economist at the Health, Care and Social Services Administration, you will have the opportunity to work with both strategic and operational financial issues. You will be able to influence how resources are used most effectively, and the position offers good development opportunities and a secure workplace with a balance between work and leisure.
The finance department of the Health, Care and Social Services Administration consists of two units:
- Unit for Operational Economists
- Accounting Unit
We are currently seeking an economist for the Unit for Operational Economists. The unit consists of 16 employees, and with us, you have the opportunity to develop in the role of economist. The unit's mission is to be a natural and accessible partner for the administration's managers. We strive to work proactively and to provide support in financial work in a way that creates added value for the operations with high competence and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities
As an economist with us, you will work closely with the operations within the Health, Care and Social Services Administration, focusing on budget and follow-up. Like your economist colleagues, you will have a consultative function for the operations and their managers that you work with. You are expected to support, challenge, and inspire the managers to perform their part of the administration's mission as effectively as possible. At the same time, you will work independently with financial and operational management, investigations, system support, and training.
Your work will include producing analyses and presenting materials to support various decision-making processes, developing analysis and follow-up tools, as well as initiating and coordinating further development and streamlining of strategies and working methods within the financial area.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position of economist with us, you have:
- A university degree in economics of at least 180 credits.
- Experience working with budgets and analysis.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
To succeed in the role of economist with us, you need to have a good analytical ability, a structured working method, and a service-oriented approach driven by a desire to help and deliver solutions. We are looking for an engaged and driven person who can work independently as well as collaborate well with others. You have the ability to present information in an easily understandable and pedagogical manner, both orally and in writing. In addition to these qualities, we would like you to have a genuine interest in our operations.
