Introduction

We are looking for two to three creative and technically skilled summer interns to develop a new component for our translation service. This AI-driven translation service is intended to be a standalone solution that is exposed via API and has its own user interface for translation management. The service will handle real-time translations and batch updates, supporting translation memory, versioning, and advanced features for term management and workflow approvals.

Responsibilities

· Develop an MVP for a web-based application that enables real-time translations and batch updates via API.

· Implement a user-friendly React-based interface that allows translation experts to edit terms and carry out workflow approvals.

· Integrate an AI-based translation engine that continuously translates new content.

· Develop features for managing translation memory, including versioning of translations.

· Experiment with new technologies and methods to improve translation quality and performance, focusing on delivering a robust service internally.

Qualifications

• Ongoing education in computer science, software development, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with ReactJS and Tailwind CSS is a plus.
• Interest and basic understanding of machine learning and AI.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, as well as good problem-solving skills.
• Creativity and a willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
