We are looking for a resource for the Swedish Food Agency's work with public meals
We are looking for someone who, until August 2026, wants to be a resource in the Swedish Food Agency's work with public meals, preparedness, and food consumption. If you want to lead our development work and communicate with our target groups, this could be of interest to you.
Your role
In this role, you will drive assignments and handle cases in our national competence center for public meals. The national competence center includes support to municipalities and regions in the development of meals and robust and resilient meal organizations for healthcare, schools, and social services. You will participate in government assignments, develop guidelines and knowledge support, and collaborate with industry representatives on various issues. In your work, you will represent the agency in different contexts and collaborate with various stakeholders in both digital and physical meetings. You will also be a resource for general tasks within the unit and collaborate with your colleagues.
You will take responsibility together with your colleagues for the organization's common assignments and resources as well as the needs of target groups. Furthermore, you will make thoughtful priorities in your work and deliver in accordance with set goals. You will monitor the external environment to gather new perspectives, maintain relevant competence, and adapt your work to the organization's requirements and conditions.
The Unit for Sustainable Food Consumption
The Unit for Sustainable Food Consumption works for a more sustainable food consumption among the population. The unit provides support in the form of advice, guidelines, and policies to professional groups, companies, control authorities, and other organizations whose work involves food, meals, and ultimately consumers. We drive many government assignments, both within the food strategy and in collaboration with other authorities.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic degree where food science, nutrition, or related fields form a significant part. You have current and relevant experience working on projects and assignments related to public meals and sustainable food consumption. You are accustomed to handling tasks in a context that places high demands on communication skills and you are comfortable in an outward-facing role. Experience working with public meal operations in municipalities or regions is required. If you have experience working in a governmental role, that is an advantage. Experience working with target groups such as children, youth, and the elderly, as well as experience with preparedness issues in public meals, is also advantageous. It is positive if you are used to handling large amounts of data and analyzing, summarizing, and communicating information in a target group-adapted manner. Proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
Your personal qualities
To succeed in this role, you act responsibly, collaboratively, and developmentally in your work. You invite and are open to collaborations, ideas, and new perspectives that improve our deliveries. You enjoy working in a team and share your expertise to strengthen our collective ability. You are able to navigate a large flow of tasks as you have the ability to see both the big picture and pay attention to details. You are used to collaborating with others both internally and externally, utilizing your ability to communicate our mission and efforts simply and straightforwardly. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
