School social teams are a way for schools and social services to work together to strengthen the conditions for students to achieve their educational goals, create a calm and safe school environment, increase students' attendance in school, and provide support to break an unfavorable development.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is used to working in a team and sees collaboration as a prerequisite for developing a new working method in Arboga's primary schools through the school social team. The team will work preventively and health-promoting to contribute to a good learning and living environment for the students. This involves providing early support to students with concerning school absenteeism. The work entails close collaboration with the schools' student health teams. The school social team will actively work with the student and the student's guardians from a multisystemic perspective. The school social team has a cross-professional working method where social services can assist with preventive and trust-building work in the school environment.

Qualifications

Position 1:

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent behavioral science education. You will be placed at a school in the municipality and have the principal as your immediate supervisor.

In this work, you need to be confident in creating relationships and have an easy time collaborating. You should have experience in meeting children, youth, and parents in difficult conversations. It is important that you have a respectful approach and share the values of society and the school.

It is an advantage if you have experience in the role of school counselor or similar work within the school, as well as training in areas such as parental support, ACT, MI, TMO.

Position 2:

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, preferably with experience in motivational and family-supportive work.

Experience from social services' authority regarding children and youth, as well as experience working in schools, for example as a counselor, is advantageous.

The ability to take on a leading role in network work, engage, and hold network meetings is also a merit for the position.

You will belong to an outpatient care group consisting of a team leader and six family therapists. We actively work together to achieve improved living conditions and find solutions for our clients, primarily in their home environment.

A valid driver's license is required.
