Your Responsibilities

The position is a combined role where you work daytime within several different daily activities during weekdays and varying working hours every other weekend at an LSS residence. All positions are within our pool, which means you will gradually be introduced to different workplaces within daily activities. Placement in individual operations may occur as needed. You will work closely with our clients to support them in achieving a safe and meaningful existence. Your role is to make them feel seen and heard based on their individual needs and wishes. You will assist with personal care, routines, and other daily activities, both inside and outside the residence. The goal is to increase their participation and promote a more independent life.

Clients have varying care needs based on different intellectual disabilities. It is important to create predictability in daily life through structure and clarity, along with adapted communication. Within daily activities, you will support our clients in various activities tailored to their personal development and interests, such as creative activities, culture, outdoor experiences, and shopping. We offer everything from activity groups for individuals with extensive support needs to business groups and STEGA (work placements) for individuals who can work more independently.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has previously worked in care and support and is comfortable in a caregiving role. You have a completed upper secondary education as a nursing assistant or preschool teacher, or an equivalent post-secondary education in a relevant field. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have worked within LSS and have knowledge of alternative communication methods and low-arousal approaches. We also view documentation experience positively and prior work with implementation plans.

As a person, you are self-sufficient, stable, and have the ability to quickly adapt and shift focus. You have a good understanding of how to adjust your message based on people's different circumstances. You value collaboration and thrive in a positive and inclusive work environment, where we support each other and work together to achieve common goals.

Animals are present at some of the business placements within daily activities. You need to be comfortable working around animals, and any allergies should be manageable with medication.

To travel between different workplaces in this role, a B driver's license is required. It is a merit if you can also drive with a trailer.
