Your Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue with us, you will have a varied everyday life. In your role as a grade mentor, you work closely with students to help them thrive and succeed in school. You collaborate with work teams and school management to create a safe and good school environment. Together with other staff, you support students who have difficulty keeping up with their schoolwork and work with attendance-promoting measures on an individual level and follow up on absences. You conduct individual student conversations focusing on behavior change and social development. In your role as a full-time mentor, you act as a bridge between students, school, home, and external resources to enable holistic solutions for students in need.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from an academic or post-secondary education in social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another area deemed relevant for the position. You have good knowledge of the Education Act and Social Services Act and experience working with youth in primary school. You have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Competence in conversation treatment or other current methods for finding pathways to youth development and change is considered an asset. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you listen and communicate clearly. You inspire and engage students and meet them based on their individual circumstances.

Before you can be employed, you need to present a valid extract from the police criminal record.
